FAO 51
Mozambique
Mozambique’s coast is located in the Western Indian Ocean, in FAO zone 51. These waters, known for their warmth and biodiversity, are a key fishing ground for species of high commercial value. The region is characterized by extensive fishing grounds and rich reefs, which guarantee a superior quality product.
Wild Fishing and Deep Freezing in the High Seas
Our catch in this region comes from wild fishing, a method that respects the ecosystem and ensures the authenticity of the product. The fish lives and develops in its natural habitat, which guarantees a product with excellent organoleptic and nutritional characteristics. To preserve its freshness in a warm climate, freezing is carried out immediately after catching, using on-board deep-freezing techniques.
This ultra-rapid freezing process not only prevents bacterial proliferation, but also keeps essential nutrients such as Omega 3 fatty acids, proteins, vitamins and minerals intact.
